I bought this as a gift for my mother and she loves it! It arrived in perfect condition and couldn't have made a better gift! The wooden board rotates on top of a Lazy Susan so that each player can view the board when it is their turn. The top of the board has raised golden edges to hold all letter tiles in place throughout the game. Personally, I think that the raised grid is the best feature because there are too many times when I am playing scrabble and someone bumps the board and the pieces go everywhere. The raised grid helps prevent the letter pieces from being knocked out of place and when you spin the board to face you, the pieces don't come loose. I especially love the wood finish on this Scrabble edition. It gives the board a classy and sophisticated look. All of the letter pieces and the racks have the beautiful wood finish as well. This Scrabble edition also comes with a small velvet bag to store all of the tile pieces in. My mom loves this board and so do I. She gets multiple compliments on it every time she has company over.
